AE2 Network AnalyzerAE2 debugging tool — visualise network topology + channel usage
About
Inspect AE2 networks: total channel usage per cable, top-N largest consumers, network graph visualisation. Indispensable for debugging "why is my network failing — too many channels?" issues on large bases. AE2 Network Analyser is a debug tool that visualises an ME network's channel routing and devices.
Getting started
Start by finding a meteorite, or craft a Meteorite Compass to locate the nearest Mysterious Cube. Mine Certus Quartz Clusters, Certus Quartz Blocks, and the Mysterious Cube for the four Inscriber Presses. Your first priority block after that is usually the Growth Accelerator; Fluix Crystals come from throwing Charged Certus Quartz, Redstone Dust, and Nether Quartz into water. Use the in-game AE2 guidebook / “Applied Energistics 2” guide if present.
What you can do
- Store items and fluids in ME Drives using ME Storage Cells and Fluid Storage Cells.
- Access storage from ME Terminals, ME Crafting Terminals, and Wireless Terminals.
- Automate machines with Pattern Providers, Molecular Assemblers, ME Import Buses, and ME Export Buses.
- Craft processors with the Inscriber using Logic, Calculation, Engineering, and Silicon Presses.
- Scale networks with ME Controllers, Smart Cable, Dense Cable, channels, and P2P Tunnels.
- Link distant bases with a Quantum Network Bridge and Quantum Entangled Singularity.
Endgame goals
A mature AE2 setup is a controller-backed ME Network with Dense Cable backbones, P2P tunnels, multiple ME Drives full of high-tier Storage Cells, and dedicated autocrafting clusters. Late-game automation centers on Crafting CPU multiblocks using Crafting Storage and Crafting Co-Processing Units, with Pattern Providers feeding machines and Molecular Assemblers.
Integrations with other AYN mods
- Applied Energistics 2 — Main module this addon extends.
- AE2 JEI Integration — restores JEI recipe display, ingredient autofill, ghost ingredients, and Terminal search sync.
- AE2: Crafting Tree — adds a crafting tree view for complex AE2 autocrafting plans.
- AEInfinityBooster — adds Infinity Range Card and Dimension Card for wireless AE2 terminals.
- AE2 Network Analyser — provides visual diagnostics for ME devices and network status.
- AdvancedAE — adds Advanced Pattern Providers, Quantum Computer, Quantum Crafter, and AE2-focused IO upgrades.
- Mekanism — AE2 Pattern Providers and import/export buses can automate Mekanism processing lines.
