About
GregTech-inspired heavily-tiered tech mod. Eight machine tiers (Bronze → Plasma), nuclear reactors, large chemical multiblocks (oil refinery, electrolyzer, blast furnace), realistic gas chemistry. Steep learning curve but very rewarding for engineering-minded players. Energy unit is EU. Modern Industrialization is an EU-based tech mod with staged machine progression from Steam Age bronze machines to Electric Age multiblocks. It adds blocks and items such as the Forge Hammer, Bronze Boiler, Bronze Macerator, Coke Oven, Steam Blast Furnace, Electric Blast Furnace, Fusion Reactor, Plasma Turbine, and Replicator.
Getting started
Make a Forge Hammer first, then use it to hammer copper and tin ingots or nuggets into dusts for Bronze Dust. Copper is vanilla; tin comes from the pack's ore/resource systems, with exact sources visible in JEI/EMI. The in-game guide is the Modern Industrialization Guidebook.
What you can do
- Make Bronze Ingots from Copper Dust and Tin Dust, then build a Bronze Boiler for steam power.
- Run Bronze Macerator, Bronze Compressor, Bronze Mixer, Bronze Cutting Machine, and Bronze Furnace processing lines.
- Build Coke Oven and Steam Blast Furnace multiblocks with item/fluid hatches to make Coke and Steel Ingots.
- Move items and fluids with Item Pipes, Fluid Pipes, Wrench configuration, tanks, and hatches.
- Use a Steam Quarry with Bronze Drills, then upgrade later to Electric Quarry resource automation.
- Progress into Assembler, Electric Blast Furnace, Chemical Reactor, Centrifuge, and Overclock Upgrades.
Endgame goals
A top-tier setup runs Fusion Reactors to make Helium Plasma and feeds Plasma Turbines for very high EU generation. Late progression includes Quantum Upgrades, Quantum Barrel, Quantum Tank, Singularity-based UU Matter production, and the Replicator, which can duplicate most items using UU Matter.

- Jade — displays block and machine information while inspecting setups.
- KubeJS — supports pack-side MI recipe, material, hatch, machine, and nuclear component customization.
- Applied Energistics 2 — stores MI outputs and can keep continuous processing lines supplied.
- Modern Dynamics — item and fluid pipes can automate MI machine and hatch input/output.
