FTB QuestsThe modpack's quest book — progression tree, rewards, milestones
About
FTB Quests is the quest-tree engine. ATM10 ships a quest book that guides your progression — first ATM ore, first AE2 grid, Mekanism digital miner, into the Aether dimension, beating the ATM star. Quests are organised into chapters; each quest gives XP, item rewards, or unlocks the next quest. Loot crates roll randomised reward stacks. FTB Quests provides the pack's Quest Book: a chaptered progression UI with task requirements, dependencies, pinned quests, notifications, team progress, and reward claiming. It adds concrete utility content such as Quest Book, Loot Crate, Task Screen (1x1/3x3/5x5/7x7), Task Screen Configurator, Quest Chest, Loot Crate Storage, Loot Crate Opener, Progress Screen, and Quest Detector. In meiCloud — All You Need, it is the ATM10-derived roadmap through early resources, storage, tech, dimensions, and ATM Star objectives.
Getting started
Start with the Quest Book. Open your inventory and click the book icon, or craft the Quest Book item with a shapeless recipe: 1 Book plus any c:stones block such as Cobblestone or Stone. Paper comes from Sugar Cane, Leather comes from cows/horses or loot, and Cobblestone/Stone comes from normal mining. The in-game guide is the Quest Book itself.
What you can do
- Track quest chapters, locked dependencies, linked quests, completed tasks, and unclaimed rewards in the Quest Book.
- Complete Item, Fluid, Forge Energy, and XP Levels tasks; some item tasks consume the submitted stack.
- Claim Item, XP, Choice, Random, and Loot rewards, including Loot Crates.
- Right-click Loot Crates to open one, or sneak-right-click to open all crates in hand.
- Place Task Screen blocks and bind them with the Task Screen Configurator for physical quest displays/submission targets.
- Use Quest Chest input/output slots for item submissions and reward handling.
Endgame goals
FTB Quests itself has no power tier or multiblock; the top-tier goal is finishing the pack's final quest chapters, including ATM Star chains and hidden dependency-locked quests. A late setup can use Task Screen (7x7), Quest Chest, Loot Crate Storage, and Loot Crate Opener to handle repeatable submissions and crate rewards cleanly.
Integrations with other AYN mods
- FTB Teams — shares quest progress and team reward state between players.
- FTB XMod Compat — provides cross-mod hooks for KubeJS and recipe viewer support.
- FTB Filter System — lets item tasks use tag filters such as
c:stonesinstead of one exact item. - KubeJS — pack scripts can react to quest events and stage progression.
- EMI — shows recipes and valid items from quest task panels.
- FTB Chunks — uses the same FTB Teams membership layer, so team questing and claimed-base permissions line up.
